Cooperativa Mamoncito, Inc. holds talks on children's savings and financial education

Cooperativa Mamoncito, Inc., in the month of cooperativism, offered a series of educational talks about the importance of saving at an early age, as well as the protection of natural resources, to more than 700 children in the city of Santiago. This same initiative will be carried out in Puerto Plata and Monción.

These talks, accompanied by animation of children's characters, were held at the Flor del Campo de Licey school in the middle, the Sor Petra school in Las Colinas, the Dulce de Luna school in Las Colinas as well, and at the Renée Klang de Guzmán school in the community. of Arroyo Hondo, Santiago.

Along with the talks, the CoopMam team donated piggy banks to motivate children to start saving and also projected interesting audiovisuals to make them aware of this topic. Within its social commitment initiatives, Cooperativa Mamoncito promotes the habit of saving from an early age as a factor of economic development, which gives certainty to the future and allows people to manage unforeseen events.

In addition to this, the general manager of this Cooperative was in charge of another talk that was held in Monción for adolescents in which they were explained about cooperativism and were able to learn about some of the processes that are carried out in this cooperative.
